The Guns of Navarone (1961)

I have far too little time to watch movies and far too many movies left to see. The Guns of Navarone is one of the best movies ever – a fantastic story from Alistair Maclean, so incredibly good and realistic that I almost wish it was true.

Gregory Peck is a great actor, Anthony Quinn is a great actor and David Niven has not been valued enough. These are just the top of this iceberg of great performances in this movie. I don’t know how many times I have seen this film. I dearly hope there are more movies out there of the same caliber as this and another classic, Where Eagles Dare.
